On May 4 and 5, 2023, Santiago de Compostela will host the II Academic and Knowledge Summit of the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean (UE-CELAC), co-organized by the Xunta de Galicia and the University of Santiago de Compostela ( USC), with the collaboration of institutions and university and scientific networks from both regions.
This II Summit follows the one held in 2017 at the University of El Salvador and aims to contribute to the formulation and development of the Action Plan approved by the UE-CELAC Summits of Heads of State and Government, especially to the construction of a space common Euro-Latin American and Caribbean higher education, science, technology and innovation.
The different events scheduled for this II Summit (round tables and discussion panels) will bring together relevant representatives of the business, social, political and academic worlds of the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean, and we hope they will be the starting point for fruitful discussions on higher education, science, technology and innovation. The Summit also represents a perfect setting for bilateral and multilateral meetings between the various agents, which allow the generation and use of synergies that will benefit European, Latin American and Caribbean societies.
